RE: Non-Roc: was Re: Twin Engines...



i vagualy remember sitting in jason arms' room a couple years back and reading a copy of performance vw that the he had laying around which featured a twin-engine gti...it was either an a1 or a2, i can't remember...if i remember correctly the car was a light green...anybody else remebering reading about this car?

I vaguely recall the twin-engine Scirocco, but not enough to help your
quest.

What I do recall in full detail instead, is the Car & Driver CRX^2
twin-engined CRX Si from late '83 or early '84. They made a little
rocketship out of that as well as highlighting a lot of the mechanical
challenges they had to overcome, which would be similar in doing this with
any car. Fun stuff. As I recall, they (or somebody) did a similar thing with
a Cadillac El Dorado also, heehee.
