I don't know about getting it to sweep the whole windshield, but what I did
with mine is straighten the arm and I have it resting on the drivers side as
low as it can go (like a Jaguar).  It doesn't block my view there, plus it
stops the water from flying up the windscreen in front of my face when I'm
driving.  Also, the amount that the wiper doesn't reach on the passenger
side does not obstruct any of my view either.
