I have 2 sets of the Schroth 4 belts in my 82.
Ideally, you want to mount the rear belt (Which are actually where the
shoulder belts connect into) up high. The reason for this is in the event
of a head on collision, the foreword movement of your body in the harness
will compress your spine. That's much worse than just wearing the stock
belts. (Which is why the stock shoulder belt is way up high! when you
think about it.)

me personally, I only use the harness when im autocrossing or doing track
time. Its there more to hold me in the seat firmly than it is to hold me
tight for some sort of impact.

I have my harness bolted up to the stock front seatbelt points and the
rear seatbelt location. Instead of having the harness just go over the
back if the seat (it goes thru the headrest mounts) I also run it over my
rollbar which, (Autopower bar with the removable center section. It has a
horizontal bar that is just under the height of the seat back.) isn't as
high as my shoulders but its better than running straight from the rear
mounting location.

If you're planning on using this harness on the street, id recommend you
stick with the stock setup. its far safer and easier to use. I NEVER use
mine on the street.
