RE: 16V Cam setup/260 intake cam with stock exhuast?

That number is called the duration as measured (usually) at .050in of lift.

The Schrick 260 16v intake cam opens at 16 degrees BTDC, close at
64 degrees ABDC. The 260 exhaust cam opens at 64 degrees BBDC and
closes 16 degrees ATDC. Intake lift is .441, exhaust lift is .441.
Overlap is 32 degrees.

True. The 268's have an overlap of 44 degrees for instance.

The 16v euro intake cam opens at 13 degrees BTDC, and closes at 57 degrees
ABDC and equates to roughly a 206 degree cam with lift at .378.

The euro intake cam is roughly at 206 degrees, so 260 really isn't on the
wild side too far. In fact, you usually don't need more aggressive valve
springs until you hit more then .455 of lift. I think the easiest upgrade
and one of the most rewarding cam swaps is probably the euro intake.
Inexpensive too if you get a regrind, like $70 or so. dyno plots usually
bear this out.
