RE: '87 16v fully restored (& customized) FS



Well, there are support beams in place along the door openings that are
1"x4" (aprx). Also has the upper engine bay support bar.

He drives this car all over Florida and hasn't had a problem yet.

  Just how "customized" was this? That is, if you compare a same year rabbit
to a cabriolet, you'll notice things like the factory roll bar and the big
metal structure between the shock towers in the trunk. These things were put
there because these little cars will twist "like an aluminum can" without
the
solid roof and pilars to connect the whole unibody together.....
  So unless this is a trailer queen going from show to show, what was done
to
ensure the the chassis integrity is at least as good as stock?
