What noise did you hear exactly? Did the low oil pressure light/buzzer go
off?

Sounds like your at least in for a main and rod bearing change. Be sure
to get the 6 piece center main bearing since the 2 piece units tend to
either wear out quickly or give more thrust clearance than needed.
(Potterman also suggests this practice when doing engine bearings so im
not the only one smoking crack on this topic.)
