I am home finally...

and the unthinkable has happened. For all of you out there on the west
coast that helped me I thank you greatly, but I would also like to apologize
for not even getting the car home. At 8:30am on thursday morning about 14
hours away from home with everything from a kick ass trip going extremely
well, the unthinkable happened. The backend shot out on me going around an
off ramp from the #5 in BC. Yes it is true, I hit a patch of ice just big
enough to send my back end swinging around and before I could safely park
the car into a snow bank on the inside of the off ramp the back end got
traction and sent the front end of the car into the concrete barrier. From
there we continued to cata pult about 4 feet in the air and flip over onto
the roof of the car, land and come sliding to a stop upside down some 10
feet from where we first hit. All I can say is I am damn lucky the idiot
previous owner for some wierd reason had an Autopower roll bar installed or
I am not sure exactly how many pieces I would have come out of the car in,
probably a ziplock bag. As it stands I have a paper cut on my right thumb
and not so much as a sore neck or back. My friend, Jeremy who was
accompanying me on the trip has the same size cut on his right knuckles. So
the good news is we were not injured in the least...as for the car, well.
That is a different story. Pics will be up tom or later tonight after I get
my film developed. The car is still in BC at a tow yard and I will have it
shipped home next week so I can transplant the beast of a motor into another
car sometime this winter.

I think a part of me still thinks it is a nasty dream, but it has been two
days and I have yet to wake up. If you are at all interested in the whole
story just check out my webpage in about a week as I will have a whole
section up about the trip including it's shitty completion. If any of you
that met the car on the way to it's death want some more info feel free to
contact me privately and I will answer any questions. Once again, I would
like to thank everyone on the west coast that made this trip possible that
unfortuneately did not turn out so well. But I am fine and that is all we
can ever ask for I guess ;( sad and fairly upset...
