Nope.  Passat/Quantum is VW's "B" platform.

The Dasher in the US was the B1, the Quantum was the B2 (and was 
always known as Passat in Europe).  B3 Passat is '90-94, B4 Passat 
95-97, B5 98 - current.

Actually, Rabbit convertible '80-84, rebadged as Cabriolet to 1992, 
all on the A1 platform.  The current Cabrio is on the A3 platform, 
still hasn't gone to the A4 platform.

I believe the platform designation for a Fox is "BX"  Adam Bogucki 
from the VWoT list, has an award-winning Fox (wins every year at 
Waterfest....see
