Not only does the AIC control up 8 injectors, it just isn't on or off.  The 
injector is driven by rpm and amount of boost, EXTREMELY adjustable.  A 
simple on or off injector is a patch.  It can even be adjusted for 
temperature changes,  oxygen levels decrease as the outside temp rises.  
Don't seem like a patch to me. BTW I have one.
