RE: Clutch cable too tight!!



Well from my experience you can't adjust the auto-adjusting clutch cable.  I had some mechanics work on my car once who had never seen an auto-adjusting cable and they screwed it all up,  so if you attempt to mess with it anyway be prepared to spend over a $100 bucks for a new one.

Just finished changing the clutch on my '88 16v.  Everything seems to be ok except for clutch cable tension.  I've got one of those auto-adjusting cables.  How the heck go I loosen it up or get into the proper adjustment?
