Re: (Non-roc) Passat auto-tranny help?!



Hey Daun,

If I remember correctly, the suck factor on those transmissions is off the
scale.  In fact the only thing higher than the suck factor is the cost of
replacing the tranny.  In the absence of providing any USEFUL information,
I'd suggest, perhaps, replacing the tranny with a 5 speed.  A friend had
that car and went through 2 transmissions at 2K a piece before he threw in
the towel.  You could probably get a 5 speed from a yard on the cheap.
