ND Show 2k.

Hell of a hot day. Thank the Creator for Fat Cat beer, Official Scirocco
List Show Beer for 2000. 

"Hey, that looks like an orange soda!..."

Once again we had folks in from waaaaay out of town. Washington.
Colorado, L. A. and points further south. It's stuff like this that make
me want to drive up to Canada n'tings. (July, LozAnjeoules, get a clue.)

It has become a tradition, albeit a very young one to get together over
the weekend surrounding the show. Come for the fun, stay for the show! 

Next year at Chevy's!  (It's just that I feel if you come to _my_ town,
you deserve to get treated right.)

I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize for myself. Wound a bit
too tight, too much crap happening, "and all I wanted was to go to the
show...", but every where I turned things weren't turning out right-

 and then my clutch goes out. 

AND I forgot to clean the underside of my hood.  

Cool fellow list members, every one, they stuck by my funky ass. I
appreciate that.

Even brought me back my raffle prize as I was too far away to hear it
called. 

But it wasn't all about meeeee, it was about the Scirocco Love baby!
(alternate award acceptance line, rejected.)

Other lines that crossed my mind jogging down the stairs:

Can you Smellllllllllllllll, what the Roc is Cooking?!?!?!
O.K., I'll stop right there.


I must admit, there was a lot of work that went into the other cars; I
especially liked the sound system's effect in the ride with the LCD
display (seemed like they all had them, right?) but this guy was playing
007. It was garish but tightly executed. Too bad the whole effect I took
away was it was all tarted up. 

Best of show? Redhead in tie-dye n' shorts. Yep.  GFs & Wives of list
members disqualified on technicalities.

Hey Kev, how'd you find a new Scirocco for sale? It must have been
hidden away in a barn somewhere.  :)

It was fun eating pizza in the hotel lounge and watching Doug's A/V
creations, been nice to watch Ronin or Bullet or something.

Man we even had folks in from NYC, Upstate that is. There is NO excuse
not to enter your car next year. If you have to ask me why then you
don't know why they call me crashbox.

Think a good thought for our friend Ben P., he went under the knife
Friday so he couldn't attend. Doing well after, all hopped up on meds.
I'm gonna go pay a visit in a few days. Show him my trophy.
