Re: ND recap

Well,

I'd like to thank all of the Scirocco listers who traveled out to come to
the show. It was unbelievably hot (since it was pouring rain the prior
Sunday) and everyone who made it there deserves a huge round of applause.

I hope all of you made it home on that long drive last night in the heat. I
only live about 40 miles away from where the show was and my car had some
cooling issues. Nothing serious, but the water temp got as high as 190, and
my oil over 100 c. when going over some hills. I've never had that happen on
the street before.

Well, it was a great show and we really made a difference. For once, It
wasn't about who has the most stickers or the biggest rear wing. The
people's choice award went to Tosha, not because he had the best looking
Scirocco, but because he has a HUGE passion for the car. He is dedicated to
getting us all together and having a good time. If you have met him, you'd
know that he deserves the award.

Since I forgot my camera, I'll have to rely on the rest of you to post some
pictures.
