Re: G-grind cams

Measure the base circle(smallest diameter on cam lobe), if it's 1.5 it's solid if it's 1.375(ithink that's right) it's a hydraulic.

Subject: G-grind cams

Upon examination, I discovered that my old 8V motor (the one dropped from my 81 rocco) had a G-grind cam in it.

Question: the head is hydrolic but the cam looks like it fits a solid lifter head. How do I determine if it belongs in a solid or hydro head? I'm not sure whether I'm gonna keep it or sell it. I gotta first determine it's application. TIA
