I'm assuming you have a Mk2?

To me, there are two MUST-DO mods.  They are both expensive but both produce
the greatest rewards.  One is euro lights - they are both a functional 
upgrade (a major one!) and a cosmetic one as well.  Same goes for the 
bumpers - you lose something like 60 lbs by going euro, and the whole
car winds up looking about 10,000% better than with the park benches.
Tradeoff (other than cost)??  Not much IMHO.  Yeah the euros don't
provide much protection, but what do the stock behemoths do for you
anyways?  THey're not going to help you much in a serious accident,
they MIGHT help in a 2-3 mph impact, but that's about it.

Do it!!  You'll be glad you did.
