Re: MkII 8v value



A friend of mine just sold his 82 for $1900.  It had
75K original, and a new paint job.  However, it had
some dents that didn't get fixed, and a half-assed
wiring job.

He sold it right after I blew a couple weekends
helping the litte  (*&#$& hunt around in junkyards for
cool parts.... I shoulda charged him for my time. 

But then again, here in my town cars go for outrageous
amounts.  The guy down the street is asking 1700 for
his 81 jetta with 200+ on the clock, peeling paint &
thrashed interior.

Like I can't just drive 4hrs to Albq. to get a better
deal...
