You don't need to reomove the core support, first of all.  Secondly, most
starter bolts I've seen were normal allen head bolts, not triple square.
But I'm not saying they were never used(I had a 70's rabbit that had them
once).  As for the allen head bolts, I believe they are 10 mm.
