hello...

i'm back on the list after a year forced hiatus due to getting canned at
my previous job, and not having a computer at home.  i finally got a
home computer...  for free!!  486DX40, windows 3.1...  but it works so
i'm not complaining...

my car is an 86 16V scirocco with ~185K miles that i've had for about 8
years now.

right now it's got:

K&N filter
schrick 268
TT adj. cam sprocket
pacesetter cat back exhaust (don't get this, it's CRAP!!)
2H tranny (3.94 final drive)
lightened flywheel (no weight ring)
mk1 single wiper
home brew short shift
sparco aluminum pedal covers
custom "scirocco 16V" floormats (thanks to a list member of yore...
can't remember the name though...sorry..)

since i've been gone i've done a few things of interest...

the instrument panel lights up RED at night now, instead of the stock
green!  even the little LED clock has a red backlight now.  i also did
the ash tray light, the stock oil temp gauge and the cigarette lighter. 
it looks awesome at night.  if anyone wants the procedure posted, it's
not that hard to do (except the oil temp gauge and the LED clock)
