If your voltmeter is getting power on a circuit that is heavily
loaded or if it has a lot of resistance in its connections, it will make
the voltage read lower when you turn on your H4s. I would check battery
ground and perhaps run new power and ground leads for your voltmeter. I
run my voltmeter straight off the battery. You can also choose to run
your voltmeter off a relay so as to get a circuit that isnt loaded.
