1.7l woes...

Ok. I did some thing really dumb. Ever leave a wrench where you might regret
it?.
I left the 19mm wrench on the main cams nut, and started the car. I found
the wrench and the nut under the car.
Replacing the nut and trying to start the car again..... I put a compression
meter on the Cyl #1 and no compression at all. The timing belt is still in
one piece and moves when the engine is cranked.
What did I screw up? Fatal?
On the verge of crying....
