16v exhaust on 8v

so I believe this has been beat to death, but will
a stock 16v exhaust fit on a 8v of the same year without
any mods?  I want to go to a 2.25" on the zender roc, and
the stock 16v cat back pipe seems like a cheap alternative....

any thoughts on this?
