That's exactly right; in fact, I got one at Sears that is a 10mm (not 100%
sure about the size) socket with a u-joint built in, for a 1/4" drive.  Very
easy to remove  with this tool.  Also easy to strip the threads on the way
back in, although I'm still not sure how I managed to do that.
