Damn i feel stupid.  I found the problem, it was the pass. side driveshaft
heat shield rubbing on the inner cv.  I had to crawl way under to see the
shaft rotate and sure enough the shield was just barely in contact with the
cv housing.  Well the old shaft is back in now and everything is fine, all
ready for waterfest and the autocross tomorrow.
