RE: 16V Rev Limiter



Ok, someone needs to explain this rev limiter built into the FRP thing.
This is way outta hand IMHO.

In order for the FPR to function as a rev limiter (stand alone) it would
have to have an input signal from terminal 1 of the coil (same as the tach)
or an input signal the ECU.  I have been through all my diagrams which
include those for the MkI cars, CIS-E GTI and Scirocco, Motronic 91 GTI and
Corrado G60.  None of these diagrams show any connection that would allow
the FPR to shut off at a designated RPM independent of a the ECU cutting the
FPR ground.
