Re: rear speaker wires on 16v

Best way to run wire to the rear IMHO

Run them behind the deck, down behind the center
console.
Pull out the drivers side seat. Lift up the trim on
the edge. Run them under the carpet up the middle
next to the e-brake, then under the rear seat. You
can split L/R under the seat. From there you can
string them along the sides of the car up to the stock
speaker locations.

If you want to check for the existing wiring (i.e. it
is there, you just don't know which wires go where)
get a 9v battery. Hook up speakers to the rear wires.
By the deck, hook the negative wire to the neg
terminal on the 9v, positive to positive. when you
get the correct connection, the speaker will make a
popping sound. If he did have speakers back there he
proably left the wiring.

I have to figure out how to do a dual amp setup with
limited space to mount the big-ass 800w amp and a
100w, and all the terminals/switches. Anyone have any
ideas? I am thinking about building a wall on each
side of the trunk out of MDF that would enclose the
stock speakers and rear wheel wells. Mount one amp on
each side, then leave my dual 10 bandpass box up
against the rear seat.

Does anyone have pictures of custom speaker setups in
their Sciroccos for ideas?

Thanks
Mark

If you're not paranoid, you're not paying attention.
