Steve-O,

Don't even F+ck w/ the fuse box. Run a good size red wire straight from
the battery, put a fast blow fuse up near that end in the engine bay and
poke it through the firewall were the rubber grommets let the other loom
through.

In this way you avoid taxing the stock loom, have uninterrupted power,
have it on it's own fuse and don't need to trip over any complexities of
the stock wiring.

You can take it a step further with a junction block or tap that allows
you to mount a covered connection bar in the engine bay and tap off it
for ICE, Headlights w/ relays, etc.

(I KNOW you aren't going to have the radio pass through the Ign. switch,
right?)
