RE: clutch cable shattered



The clutch cable is cake to change.  Lift up the arm on the tranny and pull
off the hardware that holds the cable.  Then unhook the cable under the dash
and pull it out.  Now put the new one in, reversing these steps.

Incidentally, this happened to my car before I got it.  However, the
potsmoking hillbilly just put enough spacers between the throwout arm and
the hardware at the lower end to simulate a good clutch cable.  It worked
okay, except the cable sawed through one of the brake lines.  That guy sure
wasn't bright.
