If you live next to water used by boats over 20' frequently, chances are that 
a marine store is near buy.  West Marine or Boat US have some of the best 
kick-ass wiring you can get, sometimes (a lot) cheaper than stuff sold for 
use in cars.  The Marine stuff is designed for high-draw aplications, low 
resistance, resistance to corosion (i.e. salt water) and most important, it 
is built to the standards of rich boat owners.  They have a wide selection of 
batterys (gel) and big batt cables.  Many misc conections, posts, gizmos like 
alternator "zap-stops" incase the batt is disconected during run.  
They also have established mail-order
