No disrespect intended but I believe you need a better mech. One who
spec's in VWs. You definitely should invest in the correct Bentley for
your year car. I bet you and your Father can diagnose this problem
yourselves and order the part (if any turn out to be necessary at all)
from Mike or Mark, our online vendors of choice.

My reasoning is many fold. Even if a mech. does the work, you benefit
from having a clue as to what is wrong. Also you can save bucks not only
in labor but on parts, these same parts will also not be generic pieces
but "known to be the right thing & good stuff to boot" parts. Also you
will gain in confidence as well as knowledge of your own car, something
that will lower anxiety and heighten enjoyment levels.

Again I want to return back to the basics. THis car won't start. It
_sounds_ like it's getting gas. Perhaps it is not fuel but spark or air
(perhaps too much from a leak somewere) that is the problem. Bentley
will help.

Thx for hanging in.
