I have done it two ways.  The best way, is a 1/2" air impact (IR2131!!!!),
the other is leave the belt on and if the belt slips in the pulley, push on
the belt between two pulleys (and do not pull because if you slip, goodbye
fingers on the inside of the belt!!) making the belt tighter.  The allen
bolts should not be so tight that you cannot take them out this way, unless
of course someone has installed them with a 1/2" air impact!!! :}  HTH!!!
