In the front center of the seats, there's a small (10mm) bolt on the end of 
the rail.  Take out that bolt, pull the adjusting lever and slide the seat 
all the way back until it comes off the rail. 

The door panels I can't help you with until I know what car you have (mk1 or 
mk2)...
