scirocco secret or is my car screwed?

  someone try this and see if it works. turn your lights on and then
pull on the high/low switch (turn signal) and see if you get auxillary
power (for your windshield wipers, etc.). that, plus i pretty much threw
my gauge cluster in last night. i though i had everything hooked up but
when i went to work today i had no speedo (no odo for that matter
either) so i think the cable is loose (other ideas?). also, i don't have
my bright/dim light come on (drove the whole way home with my brights on
and didn't know it). is/are the lighting problems because i don't have
one of the connectors on the back of the cluster hooked up right? any
info helpful. thanx.
