this is not Denmark, but Germany.
well tiny difference but not important :-)

In fact I know J.J. ( owner of this car ), he visited me recently.

The "knight rider" instrument cluster you're referring to
is the VW "Digifiz" which is the name  for that digital instrument cluster
that could be ordered as an expensive extra from VW for use
in Golf Mk2 ( fits also in the Scirocco )
There are different versions for 8v and 16v & Digifant.


VW part nr. is 191 919 052 A
price for all parts is above 2.500DM, when ordered from VW.
that is the main reason why they're so rare.
