Re: Bilstein Inserts

Sorry for the confusion. I had Bilstein Sports on the car, the complete
assembly.
I ordered the inserts because the Sachs on my 82 need to be replaced...so I
would need new shocks on both cars. I sent in the broken and worn Bilsteins
and the factory has sent new ones. It was my intention to put the
replacement shocks on my 82 and keep the inserts on my daily driver. I will
probially put the inserts on the 82 and put the entire assembled struts on
the 86. The point I was trying to make was....I am sorry that I bothered
with the inserts at all. The difference in cost does not justify inserts.
That is my opinion.
