Did you type that compression right?  35 lbs?  That is definitely going to 
give you a crappy idle because that cylinder is not going to fire with only 
35 lbs of compression.  You're losing compression somewhere; a leakdown test 
will tell you what component is leaking.  Definitely time for an engine 
rebuild.
