  on the same subject, I discovered that Mazda's Pure Red is identical in
every way to VW's Mars Red.  So if one can'tfind any mars red.....

This is a RIP OFF!  I know b/c I got it for my grey 84 scirocco and it cost
me my left nut.  I wised up and went to NAPA Auto Parts when I was looking
for touch up paint for my Alpine White 16v.  Since Alpine White is a popular
color, a generic brand of spray paint was available in that color.  Great
match.  While NAPA didn't have the paint at the store, they had it sent from
the warehouse.  Cost me about $5 for a small can.
