I tried once holding an A2 Jetta front bumper (small bumper) up to my '81
rocco, and I found it was too long. I'm sure it could be modded to fit on
the car, but the wraparounds on the end I thought would just be too far away
from the fender to do anything about. I've been in the same boat.. trying to
do something bumper-wise with my '81. I was thinking 1990+ A2 GLI/GTI
bumpers would be a reasonably inexpensive way to go, but it just seems
they're too long.

If someone comes up with a way to make A2 bumpers work, I'd like to
hear...How about US spec A2 Golf/Jetta GL big bumpers shaved down on the
inside? You could color code them... I dunno, just a thought.
