Chris,

I have swapped the vent windows from a 4-door Jetta onto my 81 Rabbit truck
with nary a problem, although when I went to put the window from an 83 GTI
onto my 82 cabby, I found the frame didn't fit and had to swap glass between
them.

I have no good idea why it wasn't a direct swap, but be warned, the frame on
my 82 was different than that of a 2-door 83. I didn't have the truck at the
same time to speculate whether the truck door was the same or different than
the cabby door.
