RE: oil buzzer going on at certain rpm

ALL Together now....Fenton, chime in from the back seat

DYNAMIC OIL PRESSURE SENSOR.

For the uninitiated, this is the little circuit board that is located by the
speedo on the MkII cars. I takes a reading of the high and low pressure oil
pressure senders and also uses input from the coil. If any of the values is
off, it is supposed to set off the Buzzer.

However; when the circuit board goes bad, it can buzz at certain rpm or
intermittenly. There are two fixes for it.

One we will call the "Fenton Fix" to take the board out and desolder the
buzzer. The other is to take the board out, read the # off it and try to
find a similar one in a Junkyard.

At the same time, it is a good idea to replace the senders on the oil filter
flange.

Hope this helps
