RE: [OT] Tool Advice/ 3/8" allen sockets

I'm curious how you got the bolt out.  I pounded a torx bit into the stripped head. It made a nice star pattern in the bolt head and did the job nicely.  Why would VW use such soft bolts in an application where its real tempting to install them with an impact wrench?
