Yeah, but the problem is that the Tachs aren't any more accurate than the 
speedos.  Mine shows 7450rpm when the limiter kicks in, which was verified 
to be 7200 by the dyno's ignition wire sensor.

Very true.  The published top speed of the 16V is 124.  Physics will tell 
you that it takes a SHITLOAD of power to get even one extra MPH.  Guesses 
off the top of my head say it would take 250hp to break the 140 mark, and 
probably close to 200 to break the 135 mark.

I can figure it out for those who are interested.

So, to answer the original question, slightly modified 16V cars probably 
top out between 125 and 130.
