someone pls clear this up for me...

So I can stop worrying.

I just installed a 2Y out of an 86 gti into my 88 16v, and drove it around a 
little.  The tranny whines pretty loud, it seems.  I've never driven this 
car before so I wouldn't know.  I made sure it was full of fluid (topped it 
off with valvoline gear oil) and it still did it.  Does this tranny do this, 
or is it not supposed to?  It's bothering me so I don't drive it.
