curious oil filter ? and coolant hose ?

Question 1:
ok my 16v is getting its first oil change BY ME today...the last one was by PO before i picked up the car...about 800 miles ago...so anyway i drove all over town looking for a quality oil filter with no luck...i ended up picking up one at the VW dealership...my question is, is this stock vw oil filter any good?...is it any better than the fram junk that's on there now? just curious...

Question 2:
i'm also giong to drain and refill the cooling system...but i need to know which hoses i should disconnect...the picture in the bently manaul doesn't really help at all...

my baby is also getting some new spark plugs...bosch triple prongs of course :)

one last thing...SCIROCCOs rule!...but you guys already knew that
