Well since you're asking....   I do happen to have an '85
Mk 2 8v, basically stock, that would make a perfect daily
driver.  I picked it up over Christmas to fix, and haven't
had much of a chance to work on it yet.  (That's being
remedied now though - started right up this evening after
sitting a couple months.)  It's a little rough, but would
be perfect for what you need.  I *think* it needs a clutch
(diagnosing a problem at the moment), could use front
struts and a downpipe.  Grey cloth interior (one small rip
in driver's bolster), working sunroof, a/c (dunno if it
works or not), no radio.  More details and pix upon
request.
