top end rebuild questions

well now that I have my engine down to the block what
if anything special should I do before I put it back
together? (other than the obvious new gaskets and
hardware)....is there anything special I have to do
before I get the head back on....I know this is really
vague but I dont want to miss anything obvious...and I
am way over my head here....I have the bently and will
be following it as I go......thanks 

any help is appreciated!!!!

ps got my powdercoated stuff back from alan
(doolbnroht) ...it all looks sweet....maybe I will get
Jim J to take a couple pics of the stuff....later
