They would NOT apply the tint to the outside of the window.  Their plans
were to lay the tint on the outside of the window, heat it to form to the
curve of the window, and cut it to size.  Then it will be applied to the
inside of the window. The spoiler would impede this method.

It is a pain tinting the curved part of the rear window.  I had my windows
tinted once (promptly asked for a refund and tore it off), and they didn't
tint the part that is seen below the spoiler.  Not fun, but it can be done.

Call and ask them why they wouldn't do it. Removing the spoiler is easy.
Take it off for them and put it back on when they are done.
