I think you better weigh your steel wheels again.  I haven't weighed mine
either, but picking up a stock 14" GTI (16lbs for the bare wheel) alloy
wheel with tire is easier than picking up the 13x4.5 steel wheel (with tire)
I have.  I was amazed how heavy those damn things were.
