RE: brake pads

I have Ferodos on my 16V as well, and I like them. I don't love them,
though... for a few reasons:

#1: Contrary to popular belief, you *can* make them smoke. :) A few hard
stops, and they'll fade-- and this, with 15" Hock R's, which of course have
lots of openings. They're good in terms of fade, but not a miracle cure.

#2: They refuse to bite over 100mph. Hitting the pedal at 110 feels like
mush. I don't know why they're doing this, and no one has come up with any
explanation. It's a little disconcerting because at those speeds, you need
your brakes more than ever...

#3: Dust. They're not horrendous (the Pagids in the Mercedes are worse),
but you'll be cleaning your wheels weekly. :)

#4: Squealing. On a positive note, in 15,000 miles, they've never made a
*peep*. WOOHOO!
