My Mk1 has a Rabbit GTI 1.8 and some long tube 4 into 1 header w/
a K&N filter. I have bounced the 100 mph speedo enough (on a
flat, empty stretch nearby) to know I'm easily exceeding 115 if
not touching 120 mph. I'm on 195/60/14 s and the front end isn't
too light in my car. I'd suggest your shocks/springs may not be
setup for high speed cruising . (No slam, just a point)

Even better I think will be when I install the front air damn and
under coverings to smooth out all the clutter.
