I once pushed my old rust bucket 79 (JH engine with G-grind and RD
pistons) to 124 mph (confirmed by tire size, tranny code and rpm, my
speedo stops at 110). That car was surprisingly stable at those speeds,
but rather loud.  I haven't taken a Rocco past 100 since then (in Colorado
they charge you with attempted manslaughter if caught going over 100).
Fastest ever was hitting the speed limiter in a 3000 GT.  156 mph.
